~ The soft, sandy beach of Lake Superior is within walking distance of the campground for your swimming, picnicking, sunbathing, and beachcombing enjoyment. The churning waves of the lake bring deposits of colorful agates and rocks, gnarled driftwood and shining Yooperlites. Enjoy the stunning sky colors as the sun rises and sets over the deep blue waters of Lake Superior.
~ Walk or drive 1/4 mile to the park visitor’s center for maps, videos and information on the 90 miles of walking, hiking and backpacking trails, towering cliffs, amazing waterfalls, and numerous small lakes and streams located throughout the park.
~ Take a drive to the “end of the earth”, the enchanting escarpment of the Lake of the Clouds overlook, and enjoy the calming nature sights as you wander the boardwalk winding along the rocky cliffs.
